    FindAGrave

If anyone is interested, the large online cemetery/memorial website, FindAGrave, now allows pet memorials. Try searching for the species/breed as the last name. You can also create a memorial page even if your pet is not buried in a cemetery.

Here is the grave of a Cocker Spaniel who died in April 1925: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/260774953/pattie-the-cocker_spaniel

    No matches for,
    Cavalier Charles Spaniel.
Thought there might have been several of those listed.

Try searching for "Spaniel" only or something like "Spaniel Dog". Hopefully the website will be reorganized at some point, maybe with an "official" section for pets.

Yes, they are tricky to find because of how exactly the owner wrote the description. I hope the site will have an "official" section for animals in the future.

I would never have guessed that there were so many German soldiers called Spaniel who died in the Second World War!
