Hi all, I picked up what I was told was a mini jack Russell a week ago without paperwork or anything like that and I was wondering if you good people can help to I'd him. I was told he was 9 weeks old Thanks
Yeah I know he is so playful he puts a big smile on my face. I keep trying get pictures what's clear but I can't. Hopefully I can get an I'd on him
Thais is really good news to me because it's a dog I've wanted for so long now I did have a mixed border for 23 years what past last year unfortunately. So the training starts now looking forward to it Thanks all and I'll keep you all posted with updates
I just joined the health pet club and had its first injections nobivac l4 and nobivac DHP and the next injections are on the 30th March. The vet said it was a really healthy puppy so am really happy and in the week I've had OREO I've stopped him from nipping at hands and feet by just giving him a time out every time he nipped.
This will be my last question for tonight. I was given this at the vets and OREO really likes it but I don't want be going to the vets for my dog food so does anybody know anything what's like it from pets at home or an online shop
I can't find the exact formula in another brand, (there will be one as MiPet is just a badged vet brand). I suggest that you take the packet into Pets at Home and ask them what is the nearest to it. They are usually very helpful.
OK I'll do just that and thank you for all your help you have been brilliant. Having a puppy again after all this time is crazy I just want get everything right Thanks
I've noticed my oreo as one back dew claw on its right leg is this a normal ? And I've started lead training today with a cat harness is this OK to do or should I buy a puppy harness am only walking him in the house to get him used of being on a lead
Hind dew claws are not common these days - except in one or two continental mountain breeds where double dew claws are a feature of the breed. They usually have no bony attachment, and because of the chance of them catching, they are usually snipped off at three or four days old. Once past this time they have to be done under anaesthetic by a vet. The most convenient time for this is usually when the dog is being neutered. A cat harness will be OK to get used to in the house, but will not be safe to use outdoors.
Hi carolec, The dew claw don't have bony attachment it's just lose do you think I should say something on the 30th the next vet appointment, I think it's going be chipped on the same day
You could mention it to the vet, but personally I wouldn't bother having an anaesthetic just to remove it now. It can wait until he needs to have an anaesthetic for another purpose, and then do the two together.
2.12lb and 3.10 today after 2 weeks of being with me is this OK or am I feeding him to much or not enough. I feed him 4 times a day
And I was thinking of getting a female JRT do you think its a good idea for will they mix well my last 3 dogs what was together was a bullmastiff a staff and a mixture and all got on well with plenty walking
