Hello everyone! I was told my 6 month old blue heeler is full blooded heeler but her ears are floppy and every other heeler I have seen has ears that stand. Does anybody else have a heeler with floppy ears? Or opinions on this? View attachment 6305
She is pretty, but those ears do look very flat. Are you sure that she is pure bred? If you have any doubts, you could have a dna test done, but I'm sure that you love her just as she is.
I am not positive. She didn't come with papers. Previous owners claim she was full-blooded. Absolutely love her exactly how she is though . I was just curious. She definitely has the heeler personality. Super smart with a ridiculous amount of energy haha
This is my so called blue heeler. She has floppy ears and no tail but everyone who meets her says “is that a heeler?” She was a stray found on the streets so I assume she’s mixed with something ♀️
Y yep , they can have floppy ears sometimes . I was talking about this with an old stumpy tail cattle dog breeder today. you may not be able to show them , what a lot of people don’t always realize is there a lot of variation in the breed . it’s a working dog and a lot of cattle farmers put performance over looks .
