My 6-month-old Airedale used to have flat ears that flopped forward. Since he has started teething, his ears bend at the sides, I believe referred to as "rose ears". Will his ears return to normal after teething?
Ear carriage can be erratic during teething, and there is a good chance that they will return to the correct position. Keep the hair on his ears short, and it wouldn't hurt to gently hold them along the correct fold while he is lying relaxed next to you. The rose ear can also be a feature of the puppy appeasement expression, so how does he hold his ears when he is on the alert? If you see that they are beginning to lift or stand upright ^-^ I would speak to your breeder about holding the tips in position.
