So did I. 1 January 1970 and lasted for EIGHT years. Then met a chimney and started again. But but but but but - many years after I swept the chimney I got fed up with dropping packs of the things, and lighters, and running over them... ...plus comments from Effi when he opened my computer to check things and went euch [and other noises] - I realised that was IT.
Just tried a peanut butter and jam sandwich for the first time. Wow I've been missing out all these years!
For those of you who do not know, I nearly died before Christmas, I slipped on the ice on my way home and got knocked unconscious. And if it wasn't for a friend performing CPR in temperatures of -11°c, where I had stopped breathing and had very little pulse I wouldn't be here now. So I am greatful for everyday. I wasn't going to publicise this information. But thought you all deserve to know how lucky i was that a friend cared enough to look for me when I disappeared and was at deaths door. I have learnt to embrace everything so very dear to me and hope you all take a minute to do the same now and again, because life is precious. So whatever you believe in, we are all human and all need that special someone in our lives that will go the extra mile to ensure our safety.
