I am not against neutering in any way but it’s not the answer for all problems. We have been conditioned that it’s the “responsible” thing to do and of the benefits but rarely told of the risks, research continues to show there are also some damning results of spay/neuter. There are lots of articles on the pros and cons’ of neutering/spaying, more owners need to do lots of research before deciding. http://www.naiaonline.org/pdfs/LongTermHealthEffectsOfSpayNeuterInDogs.pdf
Thank you so much for that info! Me & hubs discussed that we are in no hurry to get her spayed. She is on a leash when I take her out (Im afraid she'll run off...we live in the country). And shes also indoors too. So we are not gonna worry about getting her fixed til shes at least 2yrs old And if she happens to get really messy back there then a bath shall be in order ;-) I actually just had to wash her hiney cuz she had diarrhea. So that wasn't bad. Lol shes been getting better each day the more I work with her
Thank you! its hard to get pictures of her cuz shes always on the move! Lol but shes getting better each day!
Thank you! Lol aint that the truth! Is that your dog in your profile pic? I always liked the white ones they are all so pretty tho!
They have such pretty faces, complex characters though We are 10 months in and we are all happy after a lot of hard work, long may it continue Akitas are not for the faint hearted and I can see why so many are in “ care “ waiting to be re homed Such a shame
Yes Akitas are so beautiful too! When my husband was a kid his parents had an Akita. I never owned one or even been around one but I think they r so pretty!
