Rather windy and NOISY here as well although calmed down now. Problem though. I do have a duvet out but I cannot put it on the bed because I cannot find anyone to help me put a cover on it. Maybe I should just go to bed fully dressed?!
Aww, poor little Chico! I am also a lightweight but as I can only go outside on Xanadu his weight keeps me well anchored, and Tik is not bothered by the wind although she is still refusing to go on the wet mud/earth/dirt/stones yard to pee or poo. Concrete patio or ramp for that little booga. Rather embarrassing though as she had just peed - and got her feet rather wet - when one of her boyfriends came round and she walked up his legs for him to pet her.
SNOW! White over first thing, but thawing now and the sky is clearing. We went to spectate at North West Trial yesterday, and the weather was glorious. Today's competitors will now have quite different conditions to contend with. It just shows how the weather can affect these dog sports, however hard you try, everyone's test conditions are different.
The sun is somewhere up there but I still have no hot water. The rain seems to be sticking to just at night but it is very damp outside, and it is not very warm.
Well we had hailstones early this morning, then it turned out quite nice, bit windy with 'sunshine' and the odd shower.
Sunny here, but by heck it's cold. To be fair, I don't mind the cold when it's sunny. No high winds, rain or the dreaded snow to contend with. I just want the road from Skeg to Barnsley clear of snow on the 3rd of next month so I can do the Christmas run. I thought I'd be safe arranging it early - now it looks as though I might be wrong
Very dark, with lots of hail this afternoon. It was quite slippery underfoot as the hail had alternated with rain, which was then unable to drain away. The forecast is for more of the same. It should be our last show of the year tomorrow, but I could easily be tempted to give it a miss.
I wish you all good luck as I do not go out anywhere except to the macolet across the road, and if I need something desperately and cannot drive across if it is raining I can always telephone for someone to please bring it to me. And I always have David, Avner, Amit, not forgetting Nir of course - all of whom will get things for me and deliver them, so I will NOT complain. I am just so lucky. Cold but although I still have not found anyone to help me put the cover on my duvet I am OK at night with just two very thin and lightweight summer "quilted" blankets. And although I have closed the window above my bed at night, the other two windows are still fully open. Trissim closed but the windows open. Yes I am lucky and I appreciate that fact.
Oh yes, and the snow which sort of cancelled our fifth birthday party... ...and the time Father decided to get on the coal bunker and walk along the fence... ...and fell into the garden full of white stuff...
We've got a blanket of snow down. It's been going at it hammer and tongs for a lot of the day so I'm hoping it rains tonight to clear it by tomorrow. I hate the stuff and it's freezing
