Yay - thank you Gareth - one of King Arthur's knights! It just seemed strange calling you "Squeak"! You are right about a good set of speakers. Mine are actually quite small which is good for me as I can place them exactly where I want them, and being hard of hearing having lost most sound frequencies in my right ear due to measles when I was a small child, I need to be able to position the speakers so that I can hear music in stereo, not just plonk them equidistant on each side of my monitor.
Late, but yes, because Effie had been at clients in Tel Aviv so just dropped them off on his way home, connected them, and I am now getting used to them and where to place them to the best advantage Being late I have only listened to the intros but what I have heard I liked. Thank you Gareth! And how is Mr Bronson? Or is he still asleep!
That's OK. Glad you enjoyed them so far. The song 'My Keeper' is written about my dad who passed away 10 years ago. And it was the first song I ever recorded. I was so nervous as I'd never recorded anything I'd written before, so I did it in one take and I like the way it sounded. Not polished, just a raw and unplugged sound. Mr Bronson is relaxing now after breakfast, a run round the garden and a play.
You have a really good voice Gareth, and the track is well produced. I wish you well with your career. Perhaps a little too modern for me, - more like my daughter's taste. You will probably be disgusted to hear that Coldplay are my favourite group. Viva la Vida!
Thank you for your kind words. I like Coldplay, more thier earlier stuff though. And Viva la Vida is my favourite Coldplay song
What does Mr Bronson think of your singing Gareth? Or do you not sing to him? I always sang to Lexi - mainly nursery rhymes although I did change the words to include her. Did the same for Pereg and now for Tikva. Plus, of course, poems and songs I made up, to all sorts of tunes/melodies. I wrote a lot of poetry about Pereg and I am glad I saved them. I am not sure why but they all seemed/seem to enjoy being sung to and dogs never complain about your [my] voice!
I thought that was my guilty secret. I have a handful nonsense songs about 'puppy dogs', and am always getting accused of being dog obsessed when I sing to my pair. How could anyone possibly think that I was dog obsessed? What rubbish!
I always sing to my animals. I sang to my rabbits when I had them, The Lulu Dog and now Bronson. I get funny looks though, but I have fun and it cheers me up no end!
I have a silly voice I put on when I talk to Bronson. It started with my rabbits and it's evolved through Lulu Dog and now Bronson has to put up with it!
I bet Bronson [have we dropped the "Mr"?] loves it! As did your rabbits and Lulu Dog! It is when you ask them something in your normal voice and then "answer" for them in a silly voice, as I do, that you begin to wonder...
