Anyone else experience the following? You do the right thing: You have a service animal quality behaved dog You have to shell out $200-300 extra to take them aboard You have to risk getting hassled for the dimensions of your carrier You have to jam them under the seat in front of you You lose you personal item allowance because of the pet You dog has to stay zipped up for the entire flight Your dog has to stay in its carrier even off the plane The mope next to you: Has an uruley, untrained dog with a fake service dog vest His dog gets to ride on his lap the entire flight He pays NOTHING, ZERO, to travel with his dog He is not penalized a personal item His dog gets to walk free and annoy people in the airport And all he has to do is simply lie. He can't be challenged. He can't be refused. Meanwhile, doing the right thing like a schmuck...continues to have no privileges for the poor dog, or its owner.
I can't comment as I have never had a passport, and have never been on a plane. I did once export a puppy to Norway. She travelled as hand luggage with friends of her new family, but I believe that once in the air she spent the entire journey in the arms of the air crew!
Yes, sometimes you will get an amiable crew that lets you bend the rules a little, but it's the exception.
Hello there, I have never had a dog passport either so cant advice without you getting into legal trouble lol. I am sure if you ask around though there will be someone here of help. Jane xx
