    15 pairs of wellingtons.

I have all these wellingtons yet I can't find a pair in the same colour.
I have found a right foot in pink, yellow, green, blue, red, frog face, shire horses & JRT face one.
I have found a left foot in black, candy stripes, orange, white, grey, turquoise & brown.
Have no idea where my other pair is so now I got to pair up 2 mix match coloured wellingtons or I could just stand ringing my bell until one of my men find my matching missing pair. :D

Well, if you are like me, just one of each pair develops a split. You throw the split one out, - or make rolled up welly dog toys out of it - and store the opposite one in the shed. It seems good idea at the time, especially if you only buy green or black ones, but whether I have paid £10 or £50 for them, it is almost always the same side that develops the split. At least you have some opposite hand ones, so this could become your trademark, Tina!
Incidentally, my longest lasting wellies are Dunlop, and cost £12.49. Not elegant, but they are now on their third winter. Neoprene only managed around 3 months for both OH and self. He got a refund, but I had bought at an event. My daughter paid £80 for her Hunters, they did one and a bit winters. Does anyone have any recommendations for smartish wellies?

Have to admit im a big fan of ‘derri boots’, having skinny legs they don’t flap about like wellies, they are light comfortable and waterproof plus have a warm fleece lining, not the cheapest but mine last for years, come in green /black.

Please note my message #2 was not intended for Vee - or Carole - I think it was intended for Tina - but it has been raining and I am a bit doolally.

Daughter has just posted a photo of herself wearing what looks like Derriboots, (prob. copies), but we have a lot of slimy clay mud in these parts, (hence all the pot banks), so I don't know whether they would cope. This year, the kids seem to be wearing what looks like a trainer based long fabric boot, but it's probably only a fashion item. Charles feels the cold, and has gone back to leather hiking boots, but I have funny feet - and I don't mean Ha ha!

I do quite like the ones in the second photo. I have had a couple of pairs of floral, but they seemed to be a lighter construction and didn't last. It is a bonus if they have a countryside look though. My most favourite pair ever came from Lidl, and were really quite cheap. They were covered in a fine tweed check fabric which sponged clean. Smart and serviceable, I was really sad when they finally sprang a leak. Of course, they have never had them back in stock since....

I buy all my wellingtons at the 4 monthly clothes & shoes auctions, much cheaper I buy one lot in my size (shoes/boots/slippers/wellingtons sold per size) each lot cost between £5-£15 usually there's 20 pairs per lot, I don't mind if they only last a year as they are so cheap.

I love the Quechua range of boots from Decathalon. At the moment I practically live in my Quechua Alpenaz Snow Boots which look like a wellington. They're marvellous for walking along muddy tracks and in the snow as they give a really good grip. Not expensive either I think mine cost around £10

I hate paying full price for anything so check internet & free papers for auctions in area, not even for food I go Asda at 8pm buy 2p bread its ok for toast for breakfast in morning, the veg is 1p - 10p so I buy them make stew with the veg, yogurts are 3p ideal to freeze for dogs, the cream cakes are 50p instead of £2.

Yippèeeeeeeeee I have a matching pair of wellingtons now, my niece found the other pink one so now I have a pair.
Think the thought of walking down the street with me in one yellow & one orange wellington made my 13 year old fashion conscious niece look for a matching pair of wellingtons :D
I now can go walkies with my doggies without embarrassing my niece (well she not seen my coat yet :043: )

Ah no - I do admit to having rather a lot of Crocs - the narrow ones not the originals [forget the names but the originals were Beach] which I bought from dunno where but they were buy four get one free... anyhow they are not made any more. And cheapo postage for all five.

And I also have rather a lot of Crocs Athens toe-post - also not made any more.

    Yah boo sucks

No. I was wearing the wotchamacallit narrow clogs and realised I was wearing one pale blue and one pale green.

I do not think anyone noticed though...
