I thought I had a rat General Chat

Chance would be a fine thing. She might live next door but is rarely at home as she spends most of her time staying with her older brother since their father died. Which is a booga as we share a mailbox and I have to wait for her to get home and open the box so I can get my mail. She says it is forbidden to get another key cut for me. Ah bluddy hah. She is just scared I might see a letter for her. I frequently have to wait for weeks for her to bring my mail in as she just dumps them on her table and forgets about them.

Right, so I put a rat, or whatever it is, in the plastic bag I have sealed it and the sticky thing, and if she is at home she will take one look and have a heart attack. What good will that do me?

They are not big rats. Just a bit larger than mice. But they are rats and I do not want them in my home. Especially not in my bedroom.

Malka how about showing the rat thingy to that nice person who brings you food & grandkids round, perhaps they could help you get rid of the rats or know someone that can.

The nice person asked me to get some nice Caftans for her. So I did and she would not pay me for them. Oh she took them, said, she she pay for them tomorrow...

I have enough food in any case but she still owes me nearly two hundred pounds
sterling and has as much chance of winning the lottery, which I am not stuipid enough to do.

If you Google, 'Rodents of Israel', there is a Wikipedia page listing them all - rats, mice, jirds, gerbils, hamsters etc. As you click on each species it will put up an illustrated description. While I realise that this will do nothing to solve your problem, it might help you to identify the little blighters, and assess any possible risk to health.
There seems to be a company called, Snakes of Israel, which also deals with rodent infestations. They say they operate in the centre of the country - but I'm not sure whether this would be any use to you.

@CaroleC - I am not sure these are rats after all. They are just like larger versions of mice whereas I thought that rats would have been much bigger. I tried that Wikipedia page but apart from seeing some horrible rodents, I could not identify these. As I say, they just look like slightly larger mice.

Anyhow, I am not in the centre of Israel so that company would not be any help, and companies like that tend to use poison which, of course, is a no-no because of Tikva, so I am putting down the sticky things where I had seen them and hoping that they will frighten the boogers away.

I think you might have Spiny Mouse as they are larger then normal mice but smaller then rats
