    Wrapped up like an Eskimo

I have a score throat & an headcold which is a million times worse then any man flu, so have decided to stay in bed all weekend, I have several bells (plus 8 hidden ones) scattered all around my bedroom, endless supply of tissues, flask of hot chocolate & packet of marshmellows, plus half a dozen takeaway leaflets, (there's no way I am eating anything my men cook, I saw them boiling some sausages, potatoes and peas all together in a saucepan last night)
I also have my laptop, tablet & mobile & of course nurse K9 to keep me company, only problem is I can't find the whiskey, rum & brandy I smuggled upstairs last night, how on earth I am to cure my score throat now without them.

I hope you are feeling better soon Tina. Don't upset those men though, with so many dogs to look after!

I will give my men 1 full hour to themselves per day, as long as me plus all dogs, cats, rabbits & rats are taken care of first.

How are you feeling today Tina, and did you find your medicinal liquids for your sore throat?

Yes I found my "Liquid medication" or rather it was returned to me after I ranged my bells non-stop for 5 minutes, however I was shaken awake by a clown at 3am this morning, my brother had called the clown {Doctor} as I had an rattle in my chest, once I was awake the clown asked if I wanted something to help me sleep o_O the clown as given me some foul tasting syrup to help my sore throat, which means I can't take my "liquid Medication" anymore :(

Had a better sleep last night as there was no clowns waking me up at 3am, but still not well as my head cold as now moved to being full blown woman's flu which everyone knows is 100 million times worse then any man's flu, so once again am staying in bed but I can't get up anyway, as my stair lift as broken down leaving me & K9 stuck upstairs, [K9 always uses the stair lift to get up/down stairs] my niece is coming over to cook for my men & me as they melted a plastic measuring jug by putting it in oven, they said it was my fault as I had put down make gravy by using meat juices pour into measuring jug & place jug in m/oven until ready to pour on dinner [meaning microwave but they put jug in my middle aga oven] am glad its not just me that "cook things" in my aga ovens.

I would get well quickly if I was you, Tina. It's less stressful than lying there wondering what they are going to ruin next!

Having new stair lift fitted as my old belt driven one is now obsolete & can't get parts for it anymore, so the lovely young Romania guy measured my stairs & removed my old stair lift, a new stair lift will be fitted on Thursday/Friday, the mobility social services will give me a ring on Wednesday to let me know what day, Frank my new lodger as put slide on stairs (flat scaffolding board with lino glued to it) so I get can down, don't think he was to impress when he at to carry K9 back up the stairs, otherwise everything is running smoothly & niece is cooking wonderful meals to.

Good that both you and K9 can get down the stairs now, but if K9 needs carrying back up, how do you manage?

I can go up backwards on me bum its easier going up that way then going down that way, as for K9 he's just lazy he can get up/down the stairs perfectly well, but chooses not to so just sits at the bottom until one of my lodgers or husband carries him upstairs.

My new stair lift is being fitted tomorrow afternoon/evening between 3pm -6pm, they are delivering it today at 2pm, have told them that K9 needs to be able to operate it, they have said controls are same as old chair press button, which is brilliant as I can't use the joystick type.

New stair lift fitted & is up & running so am mobile again or rather K9 is as he's been playing throw the ball down the stairs & hopping onto stair lift to retrieve it coming back upstairs & dropping ball back down stairs & hopping back onto stair lift to go downstairs to retrieve his ball again, he was watching the fitters fitting the stair lift & was helping them by getting in the way, as soon as they had finished & switched the stair lift on K9 jumped up onto seat & proceeded to go up & down the stairs, several times before allowing anyone else to test it out.

What a clever dog K9 is. My Dumbos would never think of amusing themselves like that. You are so lucky to have found such a chirpy character Tina, he must be a joy to live with.

I wouldn't mind so much Carole but I don't have carpet on stairs, hearing his tennis ball bouncing down each step can pity annoying, for my men I just remove my hearing aid so don't hear a thing x

Little Witty used to do clever things like that, and Chico does clever things like that. (though they would have to run up and downstairs themselves - no stair lift!) Poor Pepe, though, will do things like stand at the top of the stairs, drop a ball and watch with fascination as it bounces down - and then just stand there staring at it, as if he thinks it's going to bounce back up again on its own.

Bogie thinks any kind of play is beneath him.

Ziva does same as your Pepe drops ball down the stairs then stares in hope that the ball will magic itself back up the stairs to her, the others well they not bothered with playing that game ...... that is unless there's a stupid human (man) willing to stand there all day throwing the ball back up the stairs to them :D
