    New lurcher pup

It's been a while since I've had a lurcher pup. I used to work them back in the day before life And things took over. But I've got a 10wk old greyhound/collie pup and I'm quite excited! I'm hoping to start working her and get back into the swing of things. I've got to say I'm a bit out of touch! So any working dog enthusiacs out there I'm open to tips.

You have no idea how jealous I am! I miss my old lurcher every day.

Your puppy sounds gorgeous - greyhound/collie classic lurcher!

You will have to take her to a couple of Country Fairs when her vaccinations are complete. You will meet lots of like - minded folk at those.

That's a good idea. When I first got Gertie I went to a Game and Country fair - never seen so many lurchers (and terriers.)

Is it a lurcher thing or is she just gobby as well as being so gorgeous. :007:

    Gertie never said a word!

She was an adult when we got her (the vet reckoned about two) so I don't know if she was vocal as a puppy, but I've always thought of lurchers as being really quiet dogs.

But she is so gorgeous she has every right to let everyone know she's there!

She is looking well. I think that should read, Gob of the West Midlands!
Mia, my 'real' Lurcher was silent and occasionally deadly. Tweed, the terrier Lurcher was very loud and always deadly. But for real yodelling try a gentle cuddly Beagle!

Collies can be very vocal so it's probably the collie part letting itself be known.

    She's a lovely girl
