I have been given permission by the artist to post the wonderful drawing she has just done of my beloved Pereg. It was from the photograph I use as my avatar, and she cleverly drew it without her harness. @CaroleC - I cried when I got the emailed drawing which she emailed me to approve before she added Pereg's name and the dates. This was the second drawing that Abi did. The first showed her harness plus the large ring on her collar, which is hidden by her thick scruff and on which her tags were, and we both agreed that the harness swamped her. So she asked for some photos of Pereg without her harness so she could see what her coat was like, and suggested removing the large ring and putting her tag on a small ring as she has done, as if it was on a collar hidden by her scruff. I specifically wanted her epilepsy tag in colour as that was what she was and who she was - my beloved epi girl.
Her Facebook page shows the one with the harness on as well. What a talented artist she is - and it's good that she is happy to make changes in order to get it just right.
@Janet - Abi is sending me the original drawing with Pereg wearing her harness, together with the finished drawing. She is a perfectionist in everything she draws, and for commissioned drawings she will re-draw whatever is necessary until the person who commissioned the drawing is 100% satisfied. She should be mailing the drawings today so I hope I do not have to wait too long for them. I would love to thank her publicly on her FB page but as I do not "do" FB I cannot.
Thank you Tina - if you can just say "the client is absolutely thrilled with the finished drawing" just calling me "the client" without giving my name, as she does not know me as Malka. But she already knows how thrilled I am as she and I have been in daily email contact, sometimes twice a day, since I first asked her to do the drawing for me. She has already put the first drawing - the one with Pereg wearing her harness - on her website. I hope she will also put up the final one as it is just so brilliant - all of her work is.
