BBC Inside Out Investigation Today, Dorset Dog rescue.

Jon Cuthill goes undercover to discover why crates of puppies from Ireland are being delivered to a service station near Oxford. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04xy12q/inside-out-south-12012015
About time that action is taken against the illegal importation of rescue dogs and rescues such as highlighted in this program. Great Dane dog breeder who KC registers and show their great Danes but also illegally imports puppies without passports and has no pet shop licence. There is no excuse for this they know the EU Legislation, I hope they dont get away with this and get charged.
Watch it through to the end, how puppy dealers operate For sale due to allergy's etc.

Not seen this yet but from your description, couldn't he be reported to the KC for bringing the sport into disrepute?

I wish I could watch it but iPlayer programmes are available in the UK only.

Many thanks Vee - I never think of looking on YouTube for television programmes- I just accept that iPlayer is not available and leave it at that.

Maybe it is time I started looking into what television programmes are actually available on YouTube!

Funny how the media eventually catch up with what so many of us have been worried about for years - that so many 'rescues' out there are just businesses. Hopefully this will lead to the real rescues standing up.

Pets4homes needs shutting down too - I'm glad the BBC has exposed them in this programme. Don't they see how many 'repeat' adverts they get from the same people over and over again? Why aren't they doing more about it? Shameful.

What worries me is that possibly some of the real rescues might get tarred with the same brush as these "business" rescues.

No worries there Malka true rescue homes welcome programs that show what these rip off places are like.
Preloved should also close down the animal section, as a lot of the time they are selling stolen pets or pets that's come free from Gumtree.

Sadly more and more ‘so called’ rescues similar to this are popping up, bringing dogs in from different countries, no home checks; no assessing the dogs the list goes on. They defend themselves by saying they really care for these dogs, if that was the case the money (donations) used to bring these dogs over could be put to better use in country where these dogs are coming from, rather than haul them miles when they are either ill or to young in unsatisfactory conditions, they may save a few but in general are only encouraging the problem. Will be interesting to see if the KC do take any action against the Great Dane breeder

Oh Yes please, I do wish someone could.
I also wish we could go back to the days when you booked a puppy from its breeder, and built up a relationship while you waited for it to grow. Everyone seems to want something straight 'off the shelf' these days. As for 'Preloved', the name alone just makes me feel so sad.
