I made my mind a blank, concentrated hard, and had a vision of you dressed as Robin Hood. Just call me Derren Brown!
Knowing our Tina, now she's done Derby and Nottingham she'll be off to "do" London Edinburgh, Dublin followed by Paris, Milan, New York, Dubai ... and I doubt whether we'll see her again much before December 25 2015!
Did you have to remind me? Apart from everything else there is a large M&S Christmas pudding plus a pack of mince pies that are somewhere - and if they do not turn up by Thursday...
From where? The sorting office is in town and there is no arrangement for them to hold onto things - and in anycase I never know when anything will turn up. If, and it is a big IF, there was an arrangement by the sorting office, and if, and it is a big IF, my neighbour would agree to go maybe once a week, I would have to pay for a taxi for her each way. Not everyone has a car, and what about all the old people on the Moshav? Nah, I had better write off everything already on its way as a loss. My worry now is getting the supplements for Pereg although I have enough for a couple of months - I think - but until and unless the PO find someone else to deliver mail to the Moshav I am stuck. Mind you, so is everyone else, and a lot of people buy things online or by telephone.
There is no problem with her actual medication [Phenobarbitone] Tina as I get it from Ram. I telephone an order when it is running low, he gets me however many packs of 100mg and 15mg I want - usually about 6 months supply - calls me when it is in and one of my drivers collects it for me. It is the supplements that help support her liver [Pb is processed through the liver] plus some other supplements that I am worried about, although I always keep a couple of months supply "just in case". Hopefully the PO will have found someone else by the time they run out. What is really piddling me off though, apart from the Christmas pud, is all the other things I have ordered, paid for, and are in transit from the US, UK, and China. I will just have to write them off as a loss as goods that are undeliverable are returned to the sender, and I know for sure that I will not be refunded for the majority of them. Not to worry, it is only money - she said through gritted teeth.
