One of the horrors of the holidays...I hated guys dressed as Santa as far back as I can remember. My youngest was terrified...no way I would subject her to the lap thing. The only good point was that if someone was dressed as Santa or the Easter Rabbit I didn't have to worry about her wandering off. "Emmy, if you don't stay right beside me...Santa is walking around the mall...".
It is the fact that someone - parent/guardian/professional photographer - actually took those photographs - and someone decided to keep them! I mean why? [Probably to embarrass those poor children when they are older! ]
Yes - I must say, my instinct would be to rush and rescue the child, not stand and take a photograph!
