    Soundtrack for Walkies

    An interesting question. If you could think of one or two tunes that would describe your dog on a walk. I thought of this one because I had my IPod on shuffle tonight. As Sophie was walking me Edgar Winter's " Frankenstein" came on. That tune epitomizes how Sophie walks, churning forward yet rather discordant as she pulls in random directions or goes into panic mode walking low to the ground or leaps towards approaching canines.

    Callie's song would be " Let It Roll" by Bachman Turner Overdrive...aieeee my age is showing....but really rocking and steady like a chugging big rig...let it roll, down the highway

    I have never thought about it as I never have music playing when I take Pereg out.

    Actually I only listen to music when I want to concentrate and really listen to it, so how I would describe Pereg in connection with music...

    ...I have no idea.

    I must say I've never really thought about any specific music .... but ... knowing how different in attitude my two dogs are to walking I'd say that Gwylim who loves his walks and bounces along as though he hasn't a care in the world is a "Heigh Ho It's off to work we go" sort of fellow whereas Georgina who seems to think that walking is a form of penal servitude is more suited to Van Morrison & Lonnie Donegon's version of "I wanna go home".

    Having hadda thunk, I guess that what describes Pereg the same as it does me would have to be this because we are both what we are. And we both put up with each other [and love each other].

    Bogie the cocker spaniel will walk for miles at a steady pace, nose to the ground - I think the Proclaimers' '500 Miles' would suit him perfectly.

    Pepe the Standard Poodle is off like a bullet out of a gun when he's let off the lead - Motorhead's manic 'Ace of Spades' would be perfect for him.

    Chico the Chihuahua is such a happy little soul it would have to be Pharrell Williams' 'Happy'!
