What a week I have had

I am back for a couple of weeks then going back down to Poole for sister in law funeral, weather permitting as forecast snow here in Derbyshire.
Brother is operating on autopilot so I made the hardest discussion to take all his pets to The Rescue Home 2 Staffie puppies, which are 14 weeks old & a 12 week old kitten.
My sister inlaw ex husband as the 3 older children which are his anyway who are aged 7, 9 & 11 my brothers 2 children who are 3 & 5 are staying with their nana & papa my sister inlaw parents, so my brother only as his 4 week old baby to look after, social services are helping him look after her.

K9 & me were filmed by Butcher's yesterday (Thursday 4/12/14) K9 acting was brilliant he did everything the director wanted accept eating the food, so a quick swap with Dottie to film the food being eaten (anyone would think she never eaten for a year the way she bolted the food down) fingers cross no one realizes that K9 goes from being a male dog to female dog. Had a phone call today from Butcher's they want K9 as their new logo dog & to be the dog on all their foil trays food, so we just got outside to go have some photos taken when Royal Mail turns up with a parcel address to K9 ? we went back inside to open the parcel & its from Purina ProPlan they sent K9 a free Christmas goodie box, in box was food, treats, toys, pets at home gift card, a personalize Christmas sack & an Christmas tree ornament of K9.

Fingers cross I have a quiet couple of weeks

All those poor children - not only have they lost their mum but have been separated from their siblings as well. What a sad situation for everyone.

I hope your brother is getting all the support he needs from Social Services.

Hope that as the pets are so young they will find new homes quickly.

Glad that the dogs' careers are going so well!

Oh Tina - how desperately tragic for the children. My heart aches for them all. I do not know what to say, it is just so tragic.

My brother as adopted the 3 older children (did this after he got married) & once the funeral as taken place, they will be going back to my brother along with the 2 younger ones & baby of course.
As the puppies & kitten is in my Rescue Home, they too could go back & live with brother, if they not been adopted by time my brother realize that I have taken them

If all the siblings are able to be together again, I do hope that your brother will get all the help he needs from the various organisations. You say that the oldest are currently with their birth father but your brother is legally their father now, having adopted them - and as all have [I hate to say "had"] the same mother, they need to all be together.

I wish there was something I could do to help - it is going to be a very difficult few years for your brother and those poor children.

And it will not be a very happy Christmas for any of them, will it.

So sorry Tina - I am not even sure if I am expressing myself properly - the situation is just so sad. xxx

Yes, I really hope he gets proper support - bringing up six children must be hard work for a couple, let alone a single parent recently bereaved. There must be organizations who can help and advise. What a shame you live so far away.

Yes social services have put my brother in touch with single fathers organization, they are great they, they have notified all the schools nursery & daycare about mom's death, are sending house keeper to clean cook etc they also spoken to bank & have stop mortgage payments for next 6 months, they are going to buy the Christmas presents for the children just small things like that which will help my brother x

Wish I could send something for the children Tina but I cannot as there is no way I can contact you. Otherwise I would love to send you Amazon vouchers so you can buy the children some Christmas gifts.

And I would so much like to do so. My heart aches for your brother and for the children and wish so much I could help.

I just want to say well done,Tina. This Christmas is going to be so distressing for all of the family. I hope the snow stays away and you are able to get back to Poole again soon.
Also, good work by your little stars - I look forward to seeing K9's image in the shops.
