I got the shock of my life when at eight yesterday morning, Erika arrived to tell me a reporter from the local newspaper would be arriving at nine to interview me! Why me? The paper is doing an article about foreign residents living in the region and as I'm the only one it had to be me! Panic stations then ensued .... the house was a tip, Gwylim looked like he'd been dragged through a hedge backwards, the living room carpet was strewn with bits of paper ... Georgie's doing ... and I was wearing my tattiest clothes! After what must be one of the fastest clean ups in history and with seconds to spare, I shut the dogs in the living room and opened the front door to welcome my visitor. She'd brought a photographer with her, and to my dismay neither of them spoke a word of English which made life rather difficult so after agreeing it would be easier to use google translate I rather reluctantly I opened the living room door and let the "dogs of war" loose! Being her usual snooty self, HRH decided they were of no importance and as they weren't interviewing her, she might as well go back to sleep. Gwylim thought the photographer looked highly suspicious and wouldn't stop barking until bribed with an oversized frankfurter. After the interview was over we had lots of photos taken ... well actually most of them were of Gwylim who decided he liked posing in front of a camera .... talk about stealing the limelight! Georgie was very reluctant to have hers taken ... she prefers to remain incognito! I'm not sure when the article will appear but when it does I'll post it on the forum - not that anyone including me, will understand what it says, it as it'll be in Hungarian, but hopefully there'll be a few good photos. Watch this space.
No I am not laughing. That noise you can hear is definitely not me laughing. It is Pereg. Well, I have to blame it on someone and as she is the only living thing around... ...ooh, but I cannot wait to see the photos! [Google translate is a load of blankety blankety blankety blank - even worse than the subtitles on television! ]
I think we are all going to have to learn how to curtsey before talking to her Ladyship now! [Azz - you will bow, not curtsey! ]
Well, fingers crossed and hope it works ... You can find the article and photos (6) online at - www.boon.hu The article title is na-igen-ez-az-a-hely/2692353. To see the photos go to Fotok/Barbara az angol. Only one photo of the Princess (it was one of her Greta Garbo - "I van't to be alone" days), but Gwylim was determined to steal the limelight from me - mind you he is better looking! As always the English translation was gibberish!
Vee ... when the article comes up, if you look just under the long title which starts with "Litka - A litkaiak .... you'll find a couple of lines in blue, which begins Fotok/Barbara az angol. Click on that and it should bring up a slideshow.
Cannot find it Barbara - just get this http://www.boon.hu/ and no way can I find "na-igen-ez-az-a-hely/2692353" or any long title "Litka - A litkaiak" But maybe I am a bit not quite with it at the moment?

Had two attempts and couldn't find it, so typed 'Barbara, Angol' into the Google search box and it came up straight away! Hope this helps anyone else who might be struggling. Love the picture of the two of them, and it looks a pretty village Barbara.
