    Food packaging as gone nuts

    I bought 12 boxes of nuts today from wholesalers, nothing unusual there accept the box says "may contain nuts" ? I hope so that's the reason I bought them.
    I gets home with them & this is where the fun starts, the boxes are all shrink wrapped together, so it takes me full hour to get all the shrink wrap off, then a further hour removing the clingfilm from each box,
    ta da I cut through the tape on top of a box & is greeted with a big red notice saying
    WARNING NUTS INSIDE BE CAREFUL.
    DON'T GIVE TO YOUNG CHILDREN BABIES AS THEY CAN CHOKE ON THEM.
    I remove the notice only to find the nuts are wrapped in hessian sacks & what's printed on each sack yes you guess right a warning saying "WARNING SACKS CONTAIN NUTS"
    I know there are nuts inside I bought them knowing there's nuts inside, I don't want reminding all the time.
    Now only problem is I can't remember where I put the nut crackers :confused:

    No but twin and I were ballet crazy and all our pocket money, what little their was, went on tickets for the "gods" [the highest wotsit at the Royal Opera House, Drury Lane] - standing right at the side of it - cost pennies in those days but still...

    ...and queued outside the stage door for autographs.

    We saw the very last performance of Beryl Grey with the Royal Ballet.- and got her autograph.

    Anyhow, our usual haunt was the Festival Hall where one of the main ballet companies, IIRC was the Royal Danish company - I think. And every year they did The Nutcracker at Christmas.

    We used to have a habit of walking through doors marked Private - met various dancers from various companies - met I forget his name - Alexander something I think - but oh what a guy - principle dancer in the ballet Prince Igor - think we just knocked on his dressing room door at the end...

    So, getting back to The Nutcracker - one amazing year we got roped in to be two of the children beside the Christmas Tree at the beginning. All made up and dressed up - and told what to do [not much].

    Such a long time ago now.

    Well me not found me nut crackers but have found hammer & pliers so will get to eat some nuts tonight. x
