Both lovely breeds: http://www.breedia.com/dogs/coton-de-tulear In progress: http://www.breedia.com/dogs/hungarian-wire-haired-vizsla
I've heard of both breeds, but don't think I'll be coming across either of them any time soon on our regular dog walk!
I wonder if the Vizsla will have a tail, has I have notice at the CC shows I been going too, dogs with docked tails are not being placed. An judge just walked by pass an beautiful Springer that had their tail docked.
we have a hungarian wire haired vizsla at work thats quite regular visitor, didnt realise they were a rare breed.
If the Viszla was docked before April 07 it will legally be allow to show and I cant see any judge dismissing a dog because of its tail. Also not forgetting the US kennel club still allows docked dogs (of any age) so I would expect to see ALL traditionally docked dogs being shown at Westminster. Also you CAN show a legally docked working dog at Champ shows that dont charge public entry fees here.
They are not a rare breed, there are plenty about, I think the US KC work the same as us (I stand to be corrected) you have to have a certain number registered before you can show them at CC level, otherwise they are allowed to be shown but under the " imported register" .
