Well me feeding the lions is all arranged for next year, West Midlands Safari Park will contact my wish bucket team when the new baby cubs are born & I will be able to bottle feed one of them why they are being wormed/checked over.
My trip to Monkey World has been cancelled for this year, has they are updating their disabled facilities so this trip has been re-arranged for August next year but I will be going to another monkey land as I am going to go to Twycross Zoo in September, as they have the largest collection of primates, plus they also have some Amur leopards cubs.

Tina ... if like me you'd lived in Africa and found snakes in the bathroom or wrapped around your bedside lamp and were woken every morning by a troupe of baboons wearing clogs, marching across your roof I don't think you'd be quite so fond of encounters with wild animals!:eek::eek::eek::eek:

I love Monkeys many years ago my batty Great Aunt had a pet Squirrel monkey, Sammy he was brilliant every time we visited her as children the monkey would make a bee line for me & sit on my shoulder, I would cry when it was time to go home as I would have to hand Sammy back to my Great Aunt, I have since inherited Charlie her Macaw & I also inherit her mynah bird Larry but he as since died

I wonder if I take after my batty Great Aunt as she use to collect gnomes too :D

I'd have loved to have had a Great Aunt like that! (though not the gnomes bit!).

Thinking of monkeys and parrots - did you see Our Zoo last night?

Yes, I enjoyed it. I used to live in Knutsford, Cheshire, so visited Chester Zoo many times.

I thought the little girl was excellent.

I did watch it though I disapprove of Zoos, I think it's sad to see animals that belong in the wild behind cages and bars. He had great intentions but its sadly evolved to millions of animals living a sad unnatural life .

Yes Vee but without Zoo's many animals would be extinct by now just like the dodo.
I do prefer safari parks to zoo's, however zoo's have improved their animals living conditions now & have stuff inside their pens to entertain the animals.
