Yes please. As usual the council haven't been cleaning the drains and they're all blocked and there's a bit of a pong. Then the winds came and the rain was going sideways but astonishingly everything is still standing. And now the sun is shining.
Rain soaked through two of my jackets at Ed's obedience show in Lancashire. He didn't like all the black monsters either. (Humans call them golf umbrellas!)
It's 40C here and this morning Georgina and I went to training ... an hour's drive there and another hour's drive back.... not much fun in a hot car! After training we went to collect our little man and since we got home at 3 pm I've been introducing him to the house and garden, and Georgina of course. I'm just hoping that with all the excitement he'll let me sleep all night 'cos mum is exhausted!
Snap Vee its been raining on/off here & windy for last couple of days too. I am crossing my fingers it be like this over night for the whole of November, so all the fireworks displays are cancelled.
It's been beautiful here the last couple of days! Taken the dogs on long walks wearing T shirts (us not the dogs) and have been able to put Fonzy the cockatiel out in the garden in the sunshine. Move to sunny Lincolnshire.
I had thought it was a bit cooler this morning. Then I had to put the air-conditioning on. Mind you, it does get cooler at night now and when I let Pereg out for a pee at around 3am it was definitely not a summer nightie temperature outside!
central Florida, USA...................................Have finally been able to turn off the air and open the doors for two days now. What a relief. Summer has been very long this year with rain then high temps pretty much every day. I can watch the grass grow.
You should not complain Debra - at least you get rain interspersed with the heat! We have not had any for months and months and months and months.
After several days of warm summer like weather on Thursday evening it poured with rain! The grass had just had its final cut of the year and now most of the grass cuttings have taken up residence in my house together with the mud the dogs keep bringing in. Gwylim's the worst offender... every time he walks into the house he looks as though he's been dragged backwards through a haystack! Oh the joys of owning a shaggy dog.
The weather has a' changed My feets are gettin' Cold I do not like this Chop and change Guess that's 'cos I is Old.
Kinda chilly here today in Maine with a whopping 52 degrees and windy! Typical fall weather here. So not ready for this!
