I know I know... I SOOOOooooo want one Just with all the building work going on at the mo, and then us moving afterwards - it just doesn't feel like the best time tbh. @fieldy, my dog Rocky passed away a couple of years ago - he's the dog in my avatar (which is actually a portrait of him that I got done and it sits in my room so I can see him everyday )
Some more shots of various dogs from the centre, on our village streets...and preparing to climb up sheer rock fronts, Special forces styleee
Not checked in for a while guys, just thought I'd drop a few more photos in of some of our happy people in their new lives
About time too Ken - keeping us waiting like this! The last photo is adorable and that tummy is sooo asking to be kissed!
So busy with everything and finding it hard to keep every-one updated but did write up a quick blog post about our visitors last week http://dogrescueholidays.wordpress.com/2014/09/10/back-after-the-summer-lay-off/ Also, a few more pix of recent re-homes to northern climes
I think you like keeping us waiting Ken! Congratulations on the latest re-homing you have done beautiful dogs looking so happy!
Hi Ken...This is the first time I've read your posts and seen your pic's and I must say I am impressed. I'm in the U.S. and I can't think of a single program like yours. Here most dogs are euthanized after only a week has past. Same thing for cats. You and your wife are doing a wonderful thing and I applaud you for it.
Thanks for kind words, everybody We got a review of our Dog Rescue Holidays project, now in full flow again after the summer sabbatical, so I'll link to it here http://dogrescueholidays.wordpress.com/2014/09/13/review-of-dog-rescue-holidays/ My real name is used in the review not my chosen name for the internet in case anybody is wondering
An up and down week this week. Sadly we had to put one of our own down as he was suffering with leishmaniosis. This is François our Bullterrier who brought 6 years of happiness to us and we've buried him up in the mountains where he can chill until we all meet again...and in the meantime his spirit can lend a hand at the rescue centre, keeping us determined on helping change the lives of the dogs and their new peeplez Speaking of which we have 78 of 110 on their way to Germany and Luxembourg as I type this so it'll be like a ghost town when we turn up there later
