Some information on them. They are very interesting, nothing like any other breed or even any other sighthound http://www.azawakh-czech.estranky.c...wakh/azawakh--a-short-breed-introduction.html
Such elegant dogs. After watching the videos you put up I must learn more about the breed [and check YouTube for more videos]. They are a sheer joy to watch.
I really need to get the directory finished - will be nice to browser all the breeds photos in one place. I can't see it being long before you get one Katie!
Here is a good link about the Azawakh http://www.azawakh-czech.estranky.c...wakh/azawakh--a-short-breed-introduction.html I hope not Azz, I need to meet some first. I worry that I won't be good enough to own an Aza, they are so complex
Katie, I keep watching that last video clip over and over again - it is one of the funniest things I have seen for a long time, and believe me after the day I have had I really needed the laughter that clip has, and still is, giving me! Thank you so much for posting it - it is an absolute classic!
I have actually saved it for those times when I am feeling a wee bit down, as it brings back laughter into my life.
I have heard they aren't very good on the course/lamp as they are built for endurance rather than sprinting but I would love to give Lure Coursing a try. They are very intelligent and as they have a strong guarding instinct I was thinking they could probably do well in some protection sports, so it might be something that I look into once I have a pup (if he enjoys it of course), I would like to do some agility too, I love seeing "different" breeds doing a sport that they aren't usually seen in
