Thanks, mate There's so much interest in this idea; the local politicians are even sniffing around the project which could well mean we can do some animal awareness work over here, which is badly needed for the younger generations. That Mastín cross pup will be under 42 kg (referring to your down-sizing comment after your lad, Rocky) at least for a week or so.
Got a new blog up and running which will be a mix of the dogs and scenery from the area, just so nobody forgets about what we're doing! http://dogrescueholidays.wordpress.com/about/
I often overlook my big Malamute/Husky/whatever he is as he's such a chilled dude, just enjoying life baking here in the 40 degree heat (honestly, if I can't find him during the summers here I know he'll be out in the garden roasting himself!) My wife reminded me that it's his seventh anniversary with us, so I put a few lines together to celebrate the big daft chap's contribution to our lives in a post, along with a few pictures of the stunning brute http://dogrescueholidays.wordpress.com/2014/06/19/the-anniversary-of-one-of-our-very-own-rescues/
Another bonus with the big lad is his fur offers the perfect opportunity for mindfulness meditation, just concentrating on the removal of excess clumps...for hours and hoursAfterwards I feel like I've spent a week at a Buddhist temple and he's a lot more elegant
Think this girl is going to be our number 6. I think she's a Bodeguero crossed with some hunting dog as she's quite a leggy specimen of the breed
Thanks for the help As in all things, I pretend to weigh in with an opinion on the matter and then the missus decides, so I'll give her my short list of names and then she can just ignore it Have a look at this wonderful lad, living it up in Finland with his awesome new family in my new blog post http://dogrescueholidays.wordpress....onal-jet-setter-ku-and-new-family-in-finland/
Thanks folks! We try to give a name from different countries: Faustino (Italian?), François, Kuta, Randhirji, Mrs White, Oscar...I quite like Fabiola for this one, and Amara's a name I've never heard of. Hmmnnn! Lots of thinkin gto do...and yes, Malka, more please!
