Only one now but in at one time in the past I had four adults and eight puppies as two of my girls decided to come into season within days of each other.
I've only got two now. Before when I lived in SA I always had three. The most I've had at any one time has been six.
my own and not family dogs when i was a kid is 2. i had a yorkie when i got phoebe. both puppies but yorkie a few months older as phoebe got big the playing got rough so sophie went back to my dads. i did meet a lady at crufts with 30 poms!! she must live in a mad house
6 JRT's at moment, but am on look out for pure white GSD puppy or adult dog to join my pack. Most dogs at any one time would of been 9, I had 3 Rottweiler's 4 GSD's & 2 Dobermans, it came about during a police raid on a scrap yard, at the time I already had 2 Dobermans & 2 GSD's & then went to scrap yard with the police, to help recover 2 GSD's after removing them, the police discovered the 3 Rottweiler pups (they were 6 months old) hidden in a car, so they came home with me too, it was suppose to be for 1 night only, but it turned out that they stayed with me for 11 - 14 years in the end.
During my toydog showing days, up to nine - that was with Lowchens and Cavaliers, active and oldies. Since retiring just two. Walking and grooming is much less demanding, and they are company for each other.
Three at the moment. Most I've had was four, when I took on a neighbour's cocker bitch as they decided they were 'too busy' to look after her. A year later, they got a cockapoo. We moved soon after - if we hadn't, I might well have ended up with that one as well.
Three. Well, one is my mums. The PugX and Pom(?) are mine (both originally acquired by my mum). The BichonX that we have had for about 5 weeks is mums. The youngest (BichonX) is nearly 2 years old, the oldest (Pom(?)) is 4 1/2 years old.
I have 2 at the moment, have had 3 (i fostered a romanian dog as his owner didn't want him) which was pretty easy, i think i could manage 4
One at present. When I was joint owner of a kennel about 28 including juniors and puppies.. Mini Schnauzers/Cockers and one Cairn. They were in kennels (as were the humans who looked after them) but they took it in turn to come in the house in the evening four at a time. They had 'night kennels' with a wood burner and day kennels with huge runs, a paddock and daily walks. We were out with them every day from 7am to 6pm then out again last thing for a last run/cuddle/biscuit. Many dogs in houses don't get so much attention.
Max two, currently two. I won't count fosters who only stayed for a short while such as a year or less. Dislike having two dogs, and probably won't be doing it again. I'm really a one dog person. I have a tendency to favorite dogs, and this isn't good when you have more than one.
Got one at the moment, most I have had together is two, and hopefully will have two again , when the time is right.
