Last night I finally found the time to watch the video of the Utility Group Judging and was delighted to see both the Shar-Pei and the Tibetan Spaniel made it to the final. I think it was a foregone conclusion that the Standard Poodle would win as it was such a stunning dog. I was very impressed with the Shar-Pei (from Spain) who had the minimum number of wrinkles and looked strong and healthy. The commentator though annoyed me by saying "Sar-Pei" instead of Shar-Pei .... stupid man! As for the Tibetan Spaniel he was a really handsome fellow who I felt might have made third had he not in typical Tibbie fashion decided to go on strike and had to be picked up. I had to laugh, although I shouldn't, because as soon as his chin went up in the air, I knew exactly what was going on in his mind ..... "I've walked round this **** ring once and I'm darned if I'm going to do it a second time!
Glad someone else noticed as I was beginning to think I had been pronoucing them wrong all these years!!!
Good point re pronunciations - maybe we can ask one of the Crufts presenters to do them for us for the profiles... or maybe not
