    Does that mean I have to make a decision? I have looked up more breeds on this website, this week, than is probably healthy and my mind changes hourly :rolleyes: At the moment it is the Wire Fox Terrier. Or is it the Sammoyed;)

    I think I added a few from each group into my shortlist :081:

    So here they are by group:

    Pastoral Group
    Smooth Collie
    Australian Cattle Dog
    Belgian Shepherd Laekenos
    GSD (probably working line)
    Begamasco
    Catalan Sheepdog
    Kangal & Flock Guardians

    Last three are greyed out, because although I would love them, they either require too much grooming or are a bit too big for what I want for my next breed.

    I will do a post for each of the groups - serious stuff this is! Great thread! :023:

    Great choice! I love the little Wire Fox Terriers, they have so much personality and flair. :)

    Not *new* favourites but love the Pharaohs and Sloughi. There wasnt any Azawakh at Crufts but they are another of my favourites :)

    Yes seen the stuff on Breedia for the Aza. I am friends with a few Azawakh owners on Facebook and am on both international and UK Aza groups. I know I will 100% end up with a Pharaoh but would love either a Sloughi or Aza too, I think it will probably end up being a Sloughi as they arent quite as rare :)

    Ooh, can you share those Azawakh groups, please? I'm not on FB though so hoping they're not FB groups. Love the breed. Spent a great deal of time talking to breeders/owners at Discover Dogs when I visited Crufts a couple years back.

    Damn. Never mind. I know the UK club site is not updated at all, so sadly I can't follow any news of the breed there.

    i discovered that i really like spitz type dogs. have never really given them much thought before. mainly because i thought they needed a lot of grooming. im still adament it wont be a pom as much as hubby wants, i dont think ill know how to handle a dog that small and not sure i want something that cute as people will come over to me on walks and that does my head in i like to enjoy my walks in peace

    No new favourites for me. Since deciding upon a Hovawart, it's funny, because where in the past I've jumped from breed to breed, I just haven't done that since finding the Hovawart, which is how I know I've found "the one" so to speak. While I love and admire a whole range of different breeds, I can't say I want anything else right now.

    Golden Retrievers! the Goldie demonstration team at crufts this year was wonderful. although i have to say my favorites are still labs, lab mixes, and since we got brena now dachshunds.

    btw, katie is a lab/golden mix and she has fur just like a golden. every time i see a golden i think of katie, and she isn't a pure goldie.
