As well as the dogs I have 2 cats, Domino aged 16 and chillie aged 8. I have two African grey parrots George and Ollie and only 1 cockatiel Mischief as her mate Magic died the day before yesterday. I can't find a photo of Domino for some reason
They are very talkative, they're forever telling the dogs off. I guess they can be quite loud but they don't squawk or anything just chat and whistle. I can't whistle but they pick stuff up easily and we had builders next door last year who entertained themselves whistling various tunes to the parrots. I've never taught them to swear but they pick everything up once they hear it so........ George can plainly be heard saying Oh F*** off when he gets annoyed. I tell him off and he laughs at me. They are great mimics. The cockatiels are just happy cheerful birds that chirp and whistle the day away.
Hi , besides Zack I have two cats we found as feral kittens and are now 4 yrs old, they are Tilly she's the two coloured and Scooby is a blue male.
Lovely birds and cats. I have a couple of rather unconventional pets ... a Highland calf and a Blackie lamb Meet Ruby and Nibbles! Basically the Highland calf's mum was a first timer and decided early on that motherhood wasn't for her, so left the newborn to fend for herself. We intervened and raised her ourselves. She is as tame as any dog. The lamb was one of the many bottle fed (or pet) lambs we had last year and she quickly became friends with the calf and now they are inseparable. I also have tropical fish and have kept hens in the past and intend to get some more in spring. I also had a beautiful Highland mare as well as Shetland gelding, and would love to have another Highland or two in the future, or maybe even a pair of Clydesdales.
What beautiful pets everyone has! I have a 26 year old cockatiel, Fonzie. He doesn't talk, but whistles little tunes. Once he learned how to imitate the sound of the phone - I lost count of how many times I'd rush to the phone to find no one there. We've had lots of pet rats - will definitely get more at some time. We also have wild ducks who visit us that are so tame they are almost like pets - they come in the house if the door is left open. I'd love a cat, but I have so many birds visiting the garden it wouldn't be fair.
wow such lovely animals. I only have Phoebe. I did have 2 ferrets but when we moved i had to rehome them as we have no garden here and couldnt have them living in the house as they stink and phoebe hated them. But working at the kennels i feel like i have lots and lots of dogs as we have some really regular that come in atleast once a month and 2 that come for the day monday to friday while their owners are at work
I have a norti-torti cat called Cassie who will be 17 in March. She is very timid, will sit on my lap but still won't let me pick her up Sunning herself among the flowers!
2 Cats left (Casper and Paddy) We had more but Murphy, Chippy and Bramble all passed away over the last couple of years. We've 6 chickens too and also tropical fish.
karren and used to have a ferret named "Bandit" who passed away at 6 years old from adrenal disease, and 3 gerbils, "Peanut", "Almond", and "Cashew" who passed from old age at 4 or 5. now all we have are our dogs.
