It's easy You can either drag a photo from your PC into the reply box, or... Click on the 'Upload a File' button towards the bottom of the reply box, or... Upload/post a photo from a photo host such as photobucket by pasting the usual IMG tags into your post. If you get stuck, or want to test anything out - feel free to use this thread
"You can either drag a photo from your PC into the reply box" Testing, testing Hmmm, didn't work, one more try:- Well I give up, I draqgged a photo into this reply box, it all went a kinda 'grey' colour and I could see the thumbnail in the 'reply box' but as soon as I released the left mouse button the thumbnail disapperared and the reply box just shows the text. Methinks it's not as simple as you said!
Oh gawd, despite the phot disapperaing when releasing the left mouse button it IS showin after I hit the reply button, I don't get that at all. Also why is there a running greyhound showing on my post ???
Losos. Me thinks you are right. I couldn't do it either. I would like to know what the best size is too. I went back to an old Dogsey thread, which said 500 x 325. That is what i have used here, and i would have liked them to be larger. Does anybody have the updated " Best size " for this site please. Many thanks. Jeagibear.
Your photo is there Harvey The running dog means something is happening - uploading or loading Bryan, bigger photos at 1024px wide should be fine (it will attempt to resize if larger anyway)
Hi Azz, yes there is something there and when I 'click' on it a photo of Rianna does appear so I just have to remember that when I release the left mouse button in the reply box it will appear when I post, would be nice to see it before posting (So one could check it was the right photo and not one accidentally dragged from the wrong folder) Anyway, thanks for replying, not quite sure about the edit thingy and I proably won't ever use any of the 'high tech' things like 'follow me' etc. etc. why would I want to 'follow' someone ? I guess it'll all become familier over time I just tried to put a smiley in there and now I've got the 'running dog' above and it looks like the poor thing is going to be running until I post this ??????? Is that how it works ???? Why can't we see the 'smiley' immediately after selecting it ??????
Thank you Malka dearest, that's exactly what I was trying to do but in my post it ended up as some sort of code thingy, never mind, people can see it on you post, 'tho I do hope that that doesn't increase the number of complete unknowns who latch onto you. (Have read something on Dogsey where people are 'watching' your posts - How does that work? Will people 'watch' this post ? It's all getting a bit complex init (Sorry, wanted to put a 'smiley' in there but it ain't working for me ha ha)
Harvey - if I cannot get things to work the right way, I usually find another way round it! I will not let something like posting photographs beat me!
Hi Harvey - is the photo showing in post 5 now? I just changed it from 'thumbnail' to 'full image' - so if you try uploading another photo, click on inserting it as a full image this time. The running dog means you are getting data from (or sending to) the server - it should be very brief tho.
