Help me identify what breed my pup is

Hi, this is my first post :)
I bought this pup at 8 weeks old, she is called Georgie and is gorgeous, she has a lovely temperament and I am very happy with her :) she is five months on the 19th of June, my question is, I bought her after being told she is a single coated shih tzu, I now keep getting funny looks from people when I say what breed she is, I would be very greatfull for advice from anyone, as I said before I'm very happy so don't care what she is lol she's mine and I love her warts and all

Hope that link to her pic works as I've not posted before :)
I've put my foot in second pic so you can tell her size better.

    Yep I see cavalier too.

Made me chuckle that you think you're bad at it Eileen. I'm usually anorakily good...often freek out complete strangers by correctly identifying their rare breed or unusual cross. : ) but I'm better at big dogs.

No such breed as a single coated Shih Tzu, all Shih Tzus have a double coat the same as 99% of all other breeds of dogs.

Has your puppy a level or slighty undershot mouth ? If not she is not a 100% Shih Tzu.

I do hope you weren't duped into paying a lot of money for her, because she is an "alleged"rare breed

She looks a little sweetie whatever her parents are

Lol you lot are making me laugh :)
Yeah her bottom jaw sticks out slightly!
I've been googling lol and thought maybe crossed with a Tibetan Spaniel...but I'm no expert! I did pay shih tzu prices for her..but not too bothered as they charge as much for cross breeds now a days saying they are "designer dogs" love her ant ways...she is so cute :)
Thank you all for your replies :)

The mother did look like a Tibetan Spaniel...not that I knew that at the time lol....maybe the breeder didn't know what breed she was! Who knows!

I saw Tibetan Spaniel too! Having said that, so many of the Oriental toy breeds have shared ancestory, she could have a bit of anything in, from Japanese Chin to Peke...(in fact - if you look up some very old Peke photos...)

She looks very like a lot of the little dogs milling about in Madeira - sort of Oriental looking, but of no fixed breed!

:007: Whatever she is - she's adorable! Hope you have a long and happy life together

I have noticed a few Tibetan Spaniels and crosses coming up on a well known rescue site that takes in ex-breeding dogs and unsold pups from litters.

I love her to bits so she can be what ever she wants lol
So so glad I've got her as I had to have my 9 yr old Bernese Mountain dog put to sleep last month and I don't think I would of coped as well (if that's the right way to put it) if georgie wasn't here :( she is keeping me sane :)

Looks like pug/shih tzu/cavalier. Her mouth/muzzle and undershot jawline and big "bug" eyes scream pug to me. Seems like a BYB told you some kind of fake, "rare" breed that doesn't exist. Either way, she's ultra cute. She's very small... so probably mostly a shih tzu.
