    Biggest/tallest dogs?

    was up dogsey i seen a lot of tall dogs but im wondering from yall point of view what are the 5 tallist dogs from shorter to tallist

    I think the tallest is the Irish Wolfhound with dogs standing at average 32-34"

    Yep, I believe they the Irish Wolfhound is the tallest too Katie.

    Pitboy, if you can wait, Breedia will actually list the tallest and shortest breeds ;)

    I'm just going by the KC breed standards which I'm sure is the Irish Wolfhound... Feel free to correct me :mrgreen:

    The deer hound is not taller. But, the Grand Danois is of similar height to the Irish Wolfhound, and in real life (if we don't look at the exact numbers of the standard), they are pretty much the same height.

    In the past few years at least, it would seem that Great Danes have higher statistics of being taller. I don't know many male GD's under 35 inches, most are at least 36, females are even taller than they once were. They're breeding them bigger and bigger sadly. On paper however the IW is considered taller. I'd like to have new polls done though to confirm as I said things are changing.
