OK look forward to the piccies

Oh how proud was I this morning? I took Tia to the vet for her second jab. She sat very still on the table while she was examined all over by the vet, then whilst we were talking about her she lay down and went to sleep on the table. The vet did the jab whilst she was asleep and she didn't even stir. Then the vet said "This is the most laid back German Shepherd pup I have ever seen, they are usually really scared when they come in here"

Puppy kisses for Ollie

Here is Tia being fed liver cake by my lovely little niece

Yesterday evening Ollie bounced towards Tia and did a play bow. She said "Eeeeeek!" and ran and hid under the bench. He kept trying to get her to play and she started darting out from under the bench like a Conger Eel trying to nip his legs.

Today Ollie has been waving his toy at her and running off up the garden to get her to chase him...which she does willingly.

She looks lovely.

Oliie was just holding Tia down with one paw and playing bitey face with her, very, very gently! She was lying on her back totally relaxed enjoying the attention.

I am really enjoying all the photos and hearing what that gorgeous pup is getting up to - the "Eeeeeek" at Ollie's play bow really made me laugh! xx

I'm glad you're enjoying her progress. I'm absolutely thrilled to bits with her and how Ollie is being with her.

Tia is venturing into the delicious world of raw food today. She is currently on JWB puppy food which I add Butchers tripe tinned food to, to lower the protein content of her meal. Today she has had half a raw egg mixed in which she loved. I will watch her poos with interest. Next (all being well) we will try a tiny bit of finely chopped lamb.

The bitey face game with Ollie has moved on as she now gently bites his face too.

ETA: I also meant to say Tia is now wearing a little harness with a house line attached. This means that NOT coming with me when I say "This way", or when I call her is not an option. She's not a clingy pup and sometimes thinks she would rather stay where she is, treats or not. Not any more. ;-)

Well Tia's stomach doesn't seem to have noticed. I thought GSDs had sensitive tums? We will try a chicken wing today then and see what happens.

The training is coming along well. We are practising come and sit, down and watch me in different areas of the house and garden, with and without the other dogs. We have been going out every day meeting new people and watching traffic. She is going to a puppy party tomorrow at the vets and on Saturday when she can finally go on the ground she starts Puppy Pre-school at Roger Mugford's place.

Sounds fun, my GSD never had a "sensitive" stomach (neither did any of my Weimaraners).

That's good about his tum, GSD tums seem to get discussed quite a lot on here and I almost expected problems.

Anyway here is a video of Tia and Ollie last night

Tia and I have just returned from a visit to my colleagues at work in the CID office. She was passed around for cuddles with three different people over the course of an hour, and each time she licked cheese spread off their fingers and went to sleep on their laps. At one point she was surrounded by about 10 people crouching down and leaning over her. She was totally relaxed about this and just went back to sleep. I didn't take her last week as I thought it would be too soon in her socialisation program. If I had realised how much interest there was going to be I probably wouldn't have taken her yet, but she was absolutely brilliant. I was so proud of her.

Btw none of my GSDs have particularly sensitive stomachs either.
