Hi Guys, I emailed Mike and told him Hunter has quite a fan club here on Dogsey and whether he would send us some photos and info on him he happily obliged! What a stunner Hunter is (the only thing I don't like about that photo is the collar) I hope Mike will send more later, I'll add them to this thread If any of you have any questions about Hunter you'd like me to ask let me know.
Hunter is gorgeous. Eight months old - is that all? Is that a prong/pinch collar? Why do they think he needs it?
I thought that at first but I think it's more the angle of the photo making his head look huge - and he is still a puppy and puppies are 'gawky'!
He is a cracking looking dog. I don't think he is skinny, it is the angle of that photo I would say. Dutch Herders are lovely - but I still prefer GSDs
I just thought he looked very narrow at the hips but it could be just the angle. I'm afraid he doesn't float my boat. Helen
I would ask.... For the level of training these dogs under go, and the control and trust both dog and handler have in each other... Then why the need for the prong collar, ?? If the dogs are so In tune with the handlers, why the need for the prong collor.... Also what active service has hunter got??
Just a quick update to say Hunter was 11 months old in that photo I mentioned (to Mike) that there were a few questions in this thread - if he gets back to me with any answers I'll post them.
Hi Guys, Mike replied, but I think the reply is more suited to the Don't Blame the Dog thread so have posted it there: http://www.dogsey.com/showthread.php?p=2514253#post2514253
I just watched the programme on 'catch up' - Hunter is STUNNING. I was practically swooning while watching him!
