He wants a black and tan and the breeder i have found is aritaur. I like how they have so much health testing stuff on there site, the look of the dogs and how in depth they go. ETA - Who did you get yours off?
I narrowed it down to two - Aritaur as i love the look of their dogs and the fact they go above and beyond on health testing, their site is great for information. I went with Jojavik, love the look of their dogs too and they also do all health tests, help with the research into DCM (as although there is no test for it as such you can and should be testing your dogs hearts as a breeder) i also like the fact they don't breed every year only when they want a pup, they are not so good at updating their website though. If you go onto an american dobermann forum that promotes good breeders they are apalled at the lack of health testing over here and the only two breeders they like are Aritaur and Jojavik because they do health test - not saying other breeders don't but its not well known.
Jojavik look good as well so thanks for the name. We are lucky that Aritaur is only about 1 1/2 hour away Of course for the right pup from the right breeder i would travel as far as needed but its handy to have a breeder i really like so close.
I met victoria and jackie (Jojavik) at discover dogs on the breed stand - after i had emailed them asking about pups - once i met them i knew they were the ones for me but i then had to wait over a year for a pup. I've heard great things about Aritaur though and they will match a pup to its owners - their dogs seem to do well in lots of disciplines i don't think you will be dissapointed by going with them. ( i got Madison from loot before i knew about health tests 8 years ago - she is perfect though)
Yes we are so will be checking out the dobe ring and discover dogs. As i say its a while off before we get a dobe but i know even if we decided today to go on a waiting list we would be waiting a while for the right pup. I'm fine with that though
Might see you at crufts, i will be the one drooling over the dobes, hoping Jackie and Victoria will have 5 mins spare for a chat too. Even though it may be a long wait i shall be waiting for news on your pup when you get it.
