Aww Pam how could I not fall for those little babies...how's my Little brindle. Girl . Loved seeing them ,can't wait for my next visit.
Alfie was allowed out for his first walk a week after his second jab so I shall keep following this rule for all pups then! What if you are travelling for a while with a puppy and needed to stop for it to have a wee? That's great though thanks! I actually would love the breeder (whoever I go to) to help me choose the right pup for me.
Pam - just had a look at your pictures in your threads and Laiya is like the ideal colour/marking of boxer I like!
Thank you she is a fab little girl high energy full of mischief but boy has the girl been a good momma.and given me some fab puppies
Making me broody To be honest at the minute everything is making me broody Think it's these puppies Even making me broody for babies Luckily the OH has laid down the law of babies so I know that's out for a while
Something else... when I move out I will be on my own and working full time... I would not leave the dogs all day, but could be a couple of hours before and after lunch time if I can get back in my lunch break, if not I would get a dog walker, or parents would look after them/go and let them out and have a bit of a play. Are they okay to be left on their own for a while? Well with each other but in separate crates?
My family always had Boxers. They were my introduction to the dog world. One of my first memories is of sleeping in a put me up bed downstairs in my great aunts house. Her Boxer came in and got in the bed and curled up with me ( after a suitable face washing). My mum came in and dragged him out whilst I was holding onto him screaming :-( think I was about 3. When we left, he tried to run after the car :-( I loved that dog!!! So yes, they are great with kids.
I wouldnt leave a puppy for more than a couple of hrs on its own boxers are people dogs and adore to be around their owners.some dont like being in a close room a crate for a young puppy is ideal keeps him/her safe but only used for short periods of time.
Sorry I worded that badly! I was more meaning when she was older, as when she is younger she would be getting dropped off at my parents for the day, or crated for a couple of hours in the morning and then dropped off at theirs at lunch time for the rest of the afternoon I love crates, but feel guilty if they are in there for more than 3-4 hours - even as an adult dog!
You missed the red boy we had him out last night and wow his head is a beauty.decisions now brindle girl v red boy lol
All the boxers I meet are lovely. Big lively bundles of fun. Quite honestly I see less DA boxers than other breeds like GSDs.. I think a lot of it is down to breeding and socialisation.. and a bit of luck! There is a lovely little boxer girl that comes in to work.. everyone knows her and she gives exuberant kisses!
I think I have totally fully decided to get a boxer! I just love them so much and circumstance wise I think one would be perfect! *exciteddd*
