    Brussels Griffon cross?

I was told today that my Precious might be a Griffshire. A mix of a Brussels Griffon and a Yorkshire Terrier.

Does anyone else have this type of dog?

it is not a type of dog it is a mongeral or Crossbreed people jusst like inventing silly names for their crossbreed because they think it sounds better then pedigree 0.o

if you want to know about your cross you just have to look up the two breeds you think its a cross of and you will probably have mixxture of the looks and personalities of both breeds.

I have looked carefully at the pictures you have posted of her and cannot see any Griffon in her.

looking at the pictures i wouldnt say she had griffon in her at all. not a breed that gets crossed very often either, as they arent a hugely popular breed.

Can you give me a link for your photos please? We used to have Bruxellois Griffons - used to show them

Apparently they are mostly crossed with Pugs, so a Pug friend has mentioned

No matter the cross, i am sure your little dog is a lovely companion & best friend to you & your family xx

Your dog is a crossbreed why do you need to know what is in her???

Love her for who she is not what she might be.

even if you find out your dog could have a personality all of its own reguardless of the dogs its crossed with.

Does it REALLY matter? She is clearly a mongrel/crossbred little dog, bought I assume as a pet. You seem obsessed with this and I cant understand why. You chose a crossbreed thats what you have.

According to the OPs thread http://www.dogsey.com/showthread.php?t=161648 the dog was sold as a Yorkie.

Obsessed, really? I think the OP is just curious. It may help her to understand her little dog more.

I'm curious about the "not quite" bit of my Not quite JRT - My best guess is a bit of beagle somewhere.

OPs dog kind of looks Shi tzuish around the edges to me - plus something with legs. Could be the picture quality though.

I'm also curious about the office Lurcher - bit of saluki, bit of collie "On her grandfather's side" lot of grey hound - but it would still be interesting to find out. To me. Don't see the problem (?)

    She's a lovely girl.

I wouldn't say she's obsessed, just trying to ascertain what type of mix she has - I'd want to do the same if I had a cross and didn't know which breeds the parents were.

I honestly cannot think why. You buy a dog you "think" is a Yorkie that looks nothing like a Yorkie, so why care? The look of the dog seems to be the obsession to me and if that were the case she would have known she was buying a crossbreed in the first place.
