Awww. We had collies in the past. Beautiful dogs. Am always tempted but am an FCR addict Met a collie who looked just like out Mo yesterday. He was beautiful, only 3. He had been with the lady a year who as working hard with him. When she got him his pads bled when she took him out as he had never been walked :-( He was such a happy boy though, whining with pleasure when we fussed him.
Some Collie colours.... Skip - rescued at 8 months - smooth coated Tri - nightmare dog but I adored her. Jasper - my Angel - could not have been more different, he was a red/white rough coat.....and a darling in every way (With his niece) Tassle - meant to be my black and white collie....but a few bits changed - I am sure (behaviour and looks) there is some whippet in there!) Siren - Blue and white spoilt brat....despite coming from show lines - she loves working. She has done a bit of everything, agility, obedience, HtM, herding and loves it all . She is a very easy dog to live with and great dog to work. ... because of Siren - get ready to see a lot more of this little one
She is another Stillmoor. I love the lines, Siren has everything and I know and love so many of her dogs. Thanks Would never be without a BC there are a breed that has everything for me.
Ok, just for K'Ehleyr, here's Star! A really friendly, fun loving girl. Bertie, my old man now, cuddly, friendly, layed back boy. Teagan, quite nervous until she gets to know you, high drive girl. Those 3 Skye, very friendly lovely girl, just the right amount of drive.
Jed - independent, stubborn, wary of strangers (especially men), gets upset very easily, low energy, low drive but intelligent. A joy to train because he picks things up so easily and can work things out quickly yet a nightmare to train at the same time because he's very difficult to motivate and keep focused. Has none of the typical collie traits except he's noise sensitive. Jessie - Obsessive personality e.g she is toy obsessed and if we're on a walk and I throw a ball at point A, then we walk further and she swims at point B, then digs a rabbit hole at point C, she expects that to happen every single time on that walk and will run ahead waiting at each point. It's like she has mental markers for every walk we've ever been on! She's timid, a bit ditzy when it comes to formal training, not interested in other people or dogs, gentle, loyal, affectionate and perfectly well behaved without me hardly needing to say a word to her. She has lots more drive than Jed and endless stamina but is equally happy to chill out:
