I mistook someone's Australian Terriers for a Norwich Terriers, what do you think, is it a forgiveable offence, or should I be shot at dawn .
Definatly shot at dawn Usually the mix up is between Norwich and Norfolk terriers. They look very similar apart from the ears
I think I should go and sit in the corner and write lines and beg for forgiveness , and Leadstaffs funny you should say that, coz although I asked her if hers were Norwich but I originally wrote Norfolk (it is the Norwich with pricked ears isn't it), but thats it, I really should hang my head in shame now shouldn't I .
Now you will get shot as I am sure there are other differences, it is just what I have in my head to remember which is which. I also have a little song to help me spell difficulty, can you just imagine me singing it when I spelt it out.
Prior to gaining recognition as an independent breed in 1960, it was a variety of the Norwich Terrier, distinguished from the "prick eared" Norwich by its "drop ears" (or folded ears). Together, the Norfolk and Norwich Terriers are the smallest of the working terriers. From Wiki
Right writing lines now, for now they go as follows, 'a Australian Terrier is not a Norwich Terrier, and a Norwich Terrier has pointed ears, while a Norfolk has flat' I'll start with a hundred lines, hopefully after my punishment I'll be ready to be accepted back into 'dog society' without the risk of being shot .
I think so, Norwich has pointy cat ears, Norfolk ears are anti Diesel, and a Aussie has a hairy face? If its wrong I'm now gonna leave with my tail between me legs
