With the tar markings on his feet I would call him a Bi colour rather than a sable.Just noticed the other pics and he is def a bi colour and very handsome.
Really? I am still convinced he is a black sable. I will check with his new owners and find out for sure
I would say black sable, you can see that the hair is different colours on his tail (rather than black all the way along the hair)
Black sable for sure I would say. There is sabling on his thighs and in his tail hairs, and he has the classic 'panda eyes' that many black sables display. My understanding is that true bi-colours do not have any tan on their faces or behind their ears, only on their legs, but some would say that a little tan on their faces doesn't preclude them from being bi-colours
I didn't have a clue there were so many lol. I knew there were a few, but on that pic it shows MANY that I have never heard of before (so don't know how authentic the site it, but the colourings make sense)
I don't think bi colours have as much tan on them and they have to have tar heels (black down the back of the feet) to be considered bi colour, otherwise they are a blanket back? I would bet money that he is a sable anyway....
This is what I understood. I have asked the owner for his thoughts, and have already had a reply on the social network site from another member to say black sable
Have now had a reply from this stunning chap's new owner who has confirmed he is a .... black sable :-D What do I win?! He is going to post more pics soon, so I will ask if I can share them.
