If you were to get a cross - which would it be? Discussions

If you had no choice but to get a cross, which cross would you get or would you like to see?

I'd get a rough collie x GSD, a labradoodle or a border collie x poodle (merle).

I'd have a Collie x Golden Retriever

Lurcher preferably bedlington x whippet

A bloodhound x red setter would be interesting

A spaniel cross! I don't care which, I love them all!

The easy and probably predictable answer would be a springer/cocker cross!

Only the workers though ;o)

I'd have the cross of one of the dogs that I walk. He's a collie, lab, dobe and something else cross, but has the most amazing temprement. He's three tones of chocolate, but is stunning!

ETA - or, a cross that I came across the other day for a first time was a Dobe x Pointer! It was a GORGEOUS dog!!!

Anything in rescue that catches my eye and is suitable for me, my lifestyle and the environment that he or she would be living in.

I love my mongrels, but they will ALWAYS be rescues.

Roxy, I believe, was fate that brought her to me - she just appeared on the path I was walking on with Molly 5 years ago last month. At the time, we were going to get another dog and considering what to go for, then Roxy appeared and the rest, as they say, is history. She is an amazing dog and I'll be lucky if another dog comes close to her. She is very special.

Easy-a "Kerrydale" (Kerry Blue x Airedale). Saw one on the American rescue site for Kerry Blues once and she was gorgeous!

Height and shape of an Airedale but a beautiful smoky-grey colour and so pretty! Very much a one-off.

I am not usually a fan of crosses but I would have taken this girl home like a shot if she had been in the uk and we were free to have a bitch.

First thought was Beardie/Border but then I saw someone else mention Lurchers I would love a small Lurcher

My late Meg was a X....cross Rough x BC x lurcher...she was the most remarkable dog ever with a personality to die for.
