...at Dogstrust Shrewsbury. Aren't these dogs pretty rare? Bet they'll be inundated with re-homing requests! or even Imaal, sorry!
With a lot shorter legs I think? One of the groomers where we go has one-they are quite rare. Prone to being dog-aggressive I think. I like his name!
They are a vulnerable breed. Do you know if the breed club is aware because I think he would be better homed through a breed rescue. They are very strong dogs.
That's good, wouldn't want someone wandering in and picking him because he's cute, then finding out they'd bitten off more than they can chew.
They do still work them a lot which is why it may be better if a breed specialist is helping to rehome the guy.
Glens are rare, one of the rarest breeds native to the British isles. It's also true that they can be something of a handful -- although those of us who love real terriers call that "character"! lol It's probably not a breed for a new owner but the majority of people with experience of dogs in general and terriers in particular shouldn't find them a problem. Hopefully he'll be re-homed very soon.
Just to update you on the news for Norman. He had been brought over from Ireland. He now has a new home through the dogs trust but they have passed over what they call the green book, an introduction to Glens. The new owner now has information on the breed and contacts for help in the future if needed. The club has also opened the door with the Dogs Trust for future.
