OK so it might not be for another 12 months or so ... and if everything goes to plan ... this could be the sire and dam of my future working line shepherd puppy. I am just a tiny weenie bit excited (rather prematurely LOL)! Sire ... Ralph Dam ... Blaze
Excitttttttted for ya Kirsty!!! Blimey, look at that A-frame there!!! We have ours all spread out when we do it!!! Super dogs, good luck.xxx
WOW Fantastic I'm all excited for you My friend is a "puppy walker" for a Police dog (now a brood bitch as there are too many in working at the mo in the Midlands) and she is hard work with her drive, but at the same, she's easy because of her drive. She's great fun
Thanks - I am arranging to go and meet them both "in person" soon ... so no doubt I will hardly be able to contain myself after that! I am sure that the mating (fingers crossed it all goes well) will produce some fantastic looking pups with great drive
Thanks H. It won't be for at least 12 months ... so trying not to get over-excited at this point ... not easy though That is what I have heard numerous times Jen ... they are hard work when they are young, but you are rewarded tenfold when they are older and are so willing, due to that same drive that drove you mad when they were small
They are absolutely beautiful dogs Kirsty. (Now I want another puppy too! :-( Maybe sometime in the future, who knows.) What are the lines?
Very excited for you! And I will want to come over for some puppy cuddles (and maybe some puppy kidnapping )
Thanks Lisa. They are, aren't they Thanks Irena. They are stunners aren't they Here are the pedigrees. Dam - http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=436299 And even though the Sire isn't on the pedigree database, this is his litter brother ... http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=649336
:-D You will be more than welcome to come over for pup cuddles ... but NO kidnapping I will be checking your pockets as you leave ;-)
No need to be jealous just yet ... you can wait until I am proudly flooding the board with puppy photos
Gorgeous dogs Kirsty! Just out of interest, any reason you aren't going back to Kazeti? Are you after a dog with a higher drive? Lol, I sound like I know what I'm talking about when I say that but I don't really xx
They are stunning aren't they (especially Ralph ... I am his stalker ) I really like the darker sables too, so hope these two should produce some nice dark pups.
You have hit the nail on the head :-D (So, see - you do know what you are talking about ;-) ). Yogi has a good amount of drive for a mainly show bred dog - and is turning into a cracking tracking dog but I just fancy a working line next time around, and then will probably go for a longcoat again the time after that (as I still love my longcoats). I am hoping to have a go at Schutzhund with the new pup when he is old enough (listen to me ... he isn't even conceived yet ) and so it makes sense to go for a workline ... plus I am really falling for their looks as well as temperaments
