Anyone heard of these? As advertised on a social networking group site - a cross between Shih Tzu at Bichon? When someone queried why they had bred them it was because their nephew had allergies *ahem* and they wanted a dog with low risk of him taking allergic reaction to it? Now, I now as much about these two breeds as you could write on a stamp, but am I wrong is saying they don't have hypo-allergenic coats anyway? (well the Shih Tzu surely doesn't? Wasn't sure if the Bichon was like a poodle in that it's coat is similarish, so maybe hypo-allergenic?) Crossing the two surely doesn't guarantee this? I'm going to have to stop looking at this group - it's no good for my health, I get so annoyed at the numerous adverts for ridiculous crosses.
There is no such thing as a Hypoallergenic dogas recent studies have shown & these expensive mongrels are just that expensive !
He is apparently a rescue bichon/poodle, supposedly one year old but apparently nearer two as his teeth needed cleaning. Weighs around 20 lb. Photo probably taken in Puget Sound.
Oh yes.. I recognise that.. That is a mongrel. Also known as a darling little mutt, or a heinz 57 terrier But if I were to put my designer head on, it's most likely a jackadoodle or a bichapoo or some other poodle cross... If poodles are so amazing... Why not get a poodle?
I thought that myself, but wasn't 100% sure. Mad isn't it - this person has sold the entire litter (so I suppose that's good in a way, least they aren't ending up in a shelter - for now). She's had loads of interest in them - even though the litter is sold, so many people are asking about them, I don't understand the craze at all? She's already said she's having another litter in the New Year, I just hope it isn't the same bitch
