Just watched a repeat of this show ,
how the hell can anyone let an akita get so thin that it only weighes12kgs ....
Shocking ...

that is awful :-( They're usually around 40-50kg :-(

Skinniest one i ever met was 28kg and she was bad...

Shame I missed that episode, i think it's a good programme

They found a male at the same address that weighed about 22kg

god! What happened to them? Were they ok?

The female was rehomed and looked happy and healthy at the end ..
The male they ended up having to pts..

I've seen that episode before. Didn't they say the male was too aggressive and thats why he was pts? He didn't seem aggressive though. They also had a staffie in the house which was returned to them!! Even though they left 2 dogs starving to death in the garden

The staff was healthy..
The had no legal right to take her off them and she was put on a watch list ...

Thats the reason i couldn't do a job like that

You forget the legal requirements the have to go through to get hold of dogs even in the worse state ..

I watched that last night and i felt sick to see that poor girl. She really was a bag of bones, Glad she found her great new home tho.
Mmm i was puzzled about the malee too... he seemed placid not aggressive.
Never mind giving the staffy girl back they should be banned from keeping animals!

I thought it might be that they had no legal reason to take the staff?
