I agree with you there. But I am not "yank" and I do not breed show dogs:) Here is how my dogs look like:

But don't you live in the US ?? Anything applicable to German Police Dogs doesn't apply in the states.

Gosh my 10+ GSD could still clear a 1 m jump with ease

Since you have asked about where I live here is who I am and where I am "coming from". I am of Czech origin, I live Arizona USA. I am a citizen. And I am promoting the old style working GSDs the way they were originally intended. Strong, intelligent, courageous dogs, which are discriminative, sociable and most importantly versatile meaning can perform well in any function from family companion and protector over, S&R and the sport tasks up to police or military K9. That is supported by robust heath and strong immune system and agility.
I have imported fist such Czech working dogs into USA, Argentina, Canada, Mexico, Israel,...Australia,...and all over the world. I admire and protect the old style Czech "z Pohranicni straze" lines and work with several breeders to preserve them .

 I said these were generalisations people make and I was not endorsing them. I said that they do not apply in many, if not all, cases.

STUNNING dog! I would be proud and happy to own a dog like him, especially as you put working ability, temperament and health so highly too.

    You mean this one?

I decided to delete it. It is in the books and so on so. But some people may take offense and there is plenty of that here already.

We already do. I can not advertise here. But if you right click on the picture of the dog you like and select
"View image info" and select "location:" before the slash you will see where the picture came from.

How can you import dogs into the UK when you don't live here ??

Freudian slip or are you perhaps not in the USA ?

So German Working line GSDs are poor examples then ?? Or haven't you had much contact with them in Germany ?(I don't mean the ones exported abroad)

A lot of the Czech bred dogs I have seen here in the UK have Malnois type heads as I understand that Mals were used in the development of the Czech lines

You cannot import anything to a country you do not live in

How can you import into the UK when you live in the US ? You can export to the UK

Perhaps your grasp of English is not as good as you perceive(as opposed to US English a different language derived from English)

I will be importing a dog from Germany to the UK BTW wouldn't touch the Czech dogs-too much meddling with done in the past
