    What am I

What do you think this one is a mix of?

This is my friend's dog Cara - she looks really grey but is only six years old. She was completely black until she was a year old when the white patch on her chest started spreading all over her body

Note the white toes and inside of the ears and her belly and chest are completely white and today I noticed a white stripe working its way down her back

Not quite right, the mother was a GSD though

The blurry piebald in the background is Storm - my wuss of a lad.

What what unusual marking Cara has. She is very lovely though I must say as is your boy Storm.

I would guess perhaps GSD somewhere but she is really lovely whatever the mix

He's six now. I have seen Mikey and would have been tempted to take him if I didn't have a temperamental bitch who likes Mummy to herself. Introducing a new dog would be hard work I'm afraid. I've seen quite a few NI's with the same colouring - does yours have the ticking too cos Storm is the only one that I have seen with that?

I would hazard a guess at Cara being part Siberian husky. If you notice, the white is evident on the same parts of the body that many Huskies have. Hmmm hard to explain - think of the tan on a dobermann but diluted to white instead of tan. Siberians do have a dilution gene which can do this.

I would think a lot of people say GSD because of the pointy ears but a lot of Husky crosses also have pointy ears. A woman living opposite me claimed her puppy was a Pointer x GSD - Pointer mum, guess at dad but because of the face & ears they thought maybe GSD.

By the time he was adult he and his litter sister her friend had, were very obviously Husky crosses!

Interesting Merlin's Mum, you are the closest so far - the mum was definitely a longcoat GSD because we saw her - dad was .......

I'll leave you guessing a little bit longer
