Believe me, dogs that do attack people in homes can indeed be seized here. There was a huge story a few years ago, about a farmer who had two gypsys (travellers) come onto his land and in his house. Now the farmer had a gun, and did shoot at the two guys and hit one of them who then died. The guy had a huge legal battle, and was then not only sentanced to time in prison but also had to pay an enormous sum in compensation to both the family of the guy which was shot, plus the other guy who escaped. - And didn't get prosecuted.
